My rank tracker shows no positions yet

Usually correct behavior rather than a fault. In order of likelihood: Adding a keyword schedules a check; it does not perform one instantly. Until it runs, there is nothing to show.

Usually correct behavior rather than a fault. In order of likelihood:

1. The first check has not run

Adding a keyword schedules a check; it does not perform one instantly. Until it runs, there is nothing to show.

If you cannot wait, run a fresh check manually. It costs credits, because it is a real lookup.

2. You genuinely do not rank

If you are outside the depth we search, the honest answer is "not found", and we show it as not found rather than inventing a position.

This is the correct result for a new page or a competitive term. It is information, not an error.

3. Wrong location or device

If you track a country you do not serve, or desktop when your visibility is mobile, you will see empty or strange results that are technically accurate.

Fix: check the location and device on the keyword and re-add it if they are wrong.

4. Domain mismatch

We match results against your project domain. If your project is example.com but you actually rank on shop.example.com or a separate brand domain, we will not count it as yours.

Fix: check the project URL matches the domain that actually ranks.

Why there is no history from before you added it

Nobody can give you this. Rank data is collected by checking, and nobody checked your term before you asked for it. A tool that shows you a twelve-month history for a keyword you added this morning is showing you a model, not a measurement.

The practical consequence: add the terms you will report on as early as you can, even before you start work on them.
