The connection succeeded and every number is zero. Almost always one of four things.
1. The property does not match the project
The most common cause by a distance.
Search Console treats https://example.com, https://www.example.com, and http://example.com as three different properties. If your site serves https://www. and you connected the bare https://, that property is genuinely empty — you connected successfully to the wrong box.
Fix: reconnect and pick the variant your site actually serves, or a domain property if you have one, since it covers every variant at once.
2. The site is new, or the property is
Search Console shows nothing until it has collected something. A property verified last week has almost no data, and a site with no impressions has none by definition.
Fix: wait. Nothing is broken.
3. There is a lag
Search Console data is not live. A day or two of delay on the most recent dates is normal — Google's own interface shows the same gap.
Fix: compare against Search Console directly. If Google shows the same gap, that is the answer.
4. You approved with the wrong Google account
Easy to do when you are signed into several. The account you approved may genuinely have no properties, or may only have properties for other sites.
Fix: disconnect, sign out of Google or use a fresh browser window, and reconnect with the account that owns the verified property.
How to check quickly
Open Search Console directly and look at the same property and date range. If Google shows data and we do not, that is worth a ticket. If Google shows the same emptiness, the problem is upstream of us and the fix is in Search Console.
